We know that your first invoice can sometimes be confusing. Below are some answers to frequently asked questions around the layout and charges you may see.
Why is my first invoice higher than the amount I was quoted?
Your first invoice includes as pro rata charge for the part of the month your service was activated, plus your first full month of advance rental. On page 2 of your invoice, you will see this broken down clearly under the “Period From” and “Period To” columns. This only applies to your first invoice, unless you add new services partway through a future month.
Why do you charge in advance?
Advance billing is standard across the communications industry and ensures your service continues without interruption.
What do my usage charges include?
Usage charges cover anything billed that is based on what you use – such as calls, data, or any usage outside of your plan.
When will I receive my invoice?
Invoices are emailed around the 10th of each month, with Direct Debit payments collected on the 24th of the same month.
How can I view my invoices?
You can access all invoices through your Customer Portal at any time.
Who do I contact if I have a question?
Your dedicated Account Manager’s contact details can be found on the “Payment & Contact Details” section of your invoice. As per the below image example:
You can also reach our Customer Experience Team on 0800 4700 007.
Invoice Index Key
We know that industry terms and jargon don’t always feel intuitive, so here’s a quick guide to help you understand each part of your invoice:
Line Number: Usually your telephone number, or a unique reference from some services. This helps us identify the service you are referring to.
Description: The name of the service.
Usage Charge: Any usage-based costs, such as calls or data.
One Off: Any one-off charges, for example, hardware.
Rental Charge: Any recurring monthly charges for your service. When billed for a full month, this will match your quoted amount.
Totals: The total cost for each line item.
Qty: The number of items or services.
Frequency: How often the charge applies, usually monthly.
Period From/Period To: The exact dates the charge covers.
Total: The total cost for each line item. There will also be a total at the bottom of the invoice for all items.
